Role Field Engineer Transport Operations Job Level/ Designation Transport Engineer / Off-Role Function / Department Technology/Field Operation (Transport & IP) Location Respective Zonal location across UP East Job Purpose Preventive and Corrective maintenance of Transport and IP Equipment in respective zones Key Result Areas/Accountabilities - To work on maintaining Transport Network Availability >99.95%, Optics and IP nodes visibility in NOC = 100%& another Operational KPIs within target. - Adherence to Operational (Preventive maintenance, SAP & NSS) & SNOC processes (Ticketing & WFM) and raising issues to IPs - To carry out Core/Agg/Pre Agg and Access site field level operational activities & fault rectification in strict compliance with the VIL operations guidelines to meet defined Service level KPIs. - Carry out Preventive and Corrective maintenance of Transport equipment - Record keeping / NSS update on change in inventory - End to end spare management. Replacement, Movement and replenishment within agreed TAT - Local drive with infra providers for infra correction as per VIL requirements - Integration & Commissioning of Optics and IP equipment wherever required - Coordinate with circle SME & SNOC Team for various operational / troubleshooting activities at sites - Responsible for supervising an monitoring any new node integration in network and doing acceptance testing of the same - End to end Hygiene correction of transport equipment and respective site conditions - Implementing Site related physical / configuration changes within defined timelines for coverage, capacity or performance requirements. - WFM TT compliance and closure as per agreed MTTR - Support for New feature / Pilot testing as per requirement in respective territory. Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience - Exposure on SDH, Packet, DWDM equipment in Optics, Routers and Switches in IP Operations - Through knowledge of ECI, Huawei, Nokia, ZTE Optics Access and DWDM equipment and Cisco, Nokia, Juniper routers. - Knowledge on HSW, Safety compliance and implementation on daily work. - Customer focused - Strong communication skills - Good team worker with output-oriented approach Other Requirements - Should have own Bike and know how to ride the same - Valid Driving License - Willing to do Operations and maintenance by using his own bike - 24*7 support for network breakdown activities - Open for relocation across UP East Must Have Technical / Professional Qualifications Experience: 3 6 Years.
