What you’ll do at Ather:

- Responsible for process technology and concept finalization for vehicle line/Battery line / Hardware assembly lines.
- Taking the end to end responsibility of SPM concept creation, budget estimation and approvals/SOR preparation, Acceptance criteria creation, assist the Purchase team to order, Lead the DAP discussions, machine building, tryout at supplier end, installation, functional trials, commissioning and handover the equipment.
- Identifying the technological solutions to the capacity issues.
- Perform M/EFMEA at Detailed design level to address maintenance and safety issues.
- Work with suppliers to develop new manufacturing technologies. Should be able to work with technologies like dispensing, spot welding, laser welding, wire bonding and different kinds of joining technologies including tightening technology.
- Standardization of similar equipment to maximum possible level, so as to reduce the complexity.
- Standardization of bought out parts to maintain less spares inventory.
- Capture lessons learned from previous projects
- Collaborate with the team to deliver the organization goals.
- Should take complete ownership of the goals/tasks and drive for the results.

Here’s what we are looking for:

- Experience in working with different manufacturing processes and related automation.
- People with working knowledge on manufacturing processes and automation in dispensing ,spot welding, laser welding, wire bonding and different kinds of other joining technologies including tightening technology will be preferred.
- Experience in Industrial Automation project execution with in-depth design and process knowledge.
- Knowledge on PLC & controls will be an added advantage.
- Positive thinking, team working, exploring the possibilities, Adopting practical approaches, embracing the change are main attributes required for the SPM architect.
