Hvac Draftsman

**Position Title**: HVAC Draftsman
**Department**: Engineering/Design
**Reports To**: HVAC Design Manager or Senior Engineer

**Job Type**: Full-time

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Create HVAC System Designs**: Develop detailed HVAC system drawings, layouts, and schematics using AutoCAD, Revit, or other CAD software.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with HVAC engineers, architects, and other design professionals to understand project requirements and ensure the integration of HVAC systems with other building systems.
- **Code Compliance**: Ensure all HVAC drawings adhere to local building codes, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., ASHRAE, SMACNA, or LEED).
- **System Layouts**: Design ductwork, piping, air distribution systems, and equipment placement for HVAC systems.
- **Equipment Selection**: Collaborate with engineers to select appropriate HVAC equipment and components based on system design, capacity, and efficiency requirements.
- **Revisions and Modifications**: Revise drawings and layouts as needed based on project changes, client feedback, or new regulations.
- **Quality Assurance**: Review and verify the accuracy and completeness of drawings and calculations, ensuring high-quality and error-free work.
- **Documentation**: Maintain organized records of all design files, revisions, and related documentation.
- **Site Visits**: Attend job sites as required to observe installation, ensure compliance with design, and provide technical support to construction teams.
- **Cost Estimation Support**: Assist in estimating material and labour costs by providing detailed drawings and specifications.

**Qualifications:Education & Experience**:

- **Required**:

- Associate's degree in Drafting, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience (2+ years) as an HVAC Draftsman or in a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other relevant CAD software.
- **Preferred**:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or related discipline.
- Experience with 3D modeling and BIM (Building Information Modeling).
- Knowledge of energy-efficient systems and sustainable building practices (LEED, WELL, etc.).

**Skills & Competencies**:

- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including ductwork, piping, heating, cooling, and ventilation design.
- Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (e.g., ASHRAE, SMACNA, and local codes).
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar drafting software.
- Basic knowledge of load calculations, energy efficiency, and environmental impact of HVAC systems.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in drafting and design work.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to HVAC designs or system installations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with teams, clients, and contractors.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
