Structured hybrid role:
Introduction:
The primary purpose of this role is to lead and deliver GSIB/CE/GSII Regulatory returns submitted to BoE/PRA. This will involve ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines including implementation of new guidelines with respect to higher frequency data and adaptation to required strategic changes. The role holder will be additionally responsible for the compliance of all applicable controls and identifying and driving process improvements including automation.

What will you be doing?
- Preparation/Review of the regulatory returns for submission to BoE and PRA.
- Prepare/Review the monthly/quarterly G-SIB returns, and PRA returns, and the supporting information/ review packs used to validate the reports.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines including interpretation and judgement.
- Drive the business logics for process automation/strategic solution as part of continuous improvement.
- Preparation/Review of relevant MIS reports for dissemination to key stakeholders.
- Preparation/Review of documentation to substantiate key controls supporting the reporting process including reconciliations between systems feeds etc.
- Ensure monthly reconciliations of balances source from various regulatory systems to books and records.
- Investigate reconciliation breaks and ensure breaks are explained and/or resolved in a timely manner.
- Assist with ad hoc queries from management, head office, and other key stakeholders.
- Participate in ad hoc projects such as process improvements reviews and system testing.

What we’re looking for:

- Qualified Accountant - ACA, CIMA, ACCA
- Strong academic background - 1st /2nd class honours, minimum bachelor degree from a reputable institution
- Post qualification experience
- Experience in a month-end or quarter-end focused reporting role or control environment based or finance automation skillset based
- Knowledge and understanding of the key accounting principles under IFRS
- Experience with transformation, project delivery and change management processes.
- Ability to interact with senior staff across multiple jurisdictions in multiple functions
- Strong controls mindset
- Ability to build strong partnerships across the business with excellent stakeholder management
- Analytical and problem solving skills with ability to think outside the box.
