**About the role**

A Receptionist at Museum of Solutions serves as the initial point of contact for visitors, families, and school groups. This role requires exceptional customer service skills, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for creating an engaging and educational experience for children and their caregivers. They are responsible for handling check-ins, check-outs, bookings and various guest inquiries contributing to a seamless and enjoyable museum journey.

**Key responsibilities**

**Guest Service**:

- Welcome visitors with a warm and friendly demeanor, creating a positive first impression.
- Assist families, children, and groups with admissions, memberships, and program registrations.
- Provide information about museum exhibits, activities, and upcoming events.
- Assist in coordinating and welcoming school groups, field trips, and other organized visits.
- Ensure smooth check-in and assist facilitators or group leaders in orientation as needed.

**Front Desk & Ticketing**:

- Maintain a tidy and organized front desk area, creating a welcoming environment for guests.
- Process admissions and ticket sales, ensuring accuracy in pricing and guest information.
- Process guest payments accurately and efficiently, including cash, credit cards, and other payment methods.
- Handle sales transactions for museum shops which have merchandise, educational toys, books, and souvenirs etc.
- Maintain a well-organized and visually appealing retail area.
- Promote membership programs and encourage visitors to become members.

**Security and Safety**:

- Monitor the reception area and ensure the safety and security of children and visitors.
- Follow established protocols in case of emergencies or lost children.

**Administrative Tasks & Knowledge**:

- Complete administrative duties, such as record-keeping, data entry, and filing.
- Be up-to-date with museum programs, events, and exhibit details to provide accurate information.

**Required Qualifications**
- High school diploma or equivalent (additional education in hospitality or related field is a plus).
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong customer service orientation and a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to handle cash transactions and operate point-of-sale systems.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Child safety awareness and the ability to respond calmly to challenging situations.

**Supervision**

Under the direction of the Museum Experience Manager.

**Salary**: ₹20,000.00 - ₹27,000.00 per month
