Key responsibilities of a field sales executive:
- **Prospecting**:Identifying and qualifying potential new customers within their assigned territory through cold calling, networking, and lead generation activities.
- **Customer engagement**:Scheduling and conducting in-person sales meetings with prospective clients to understand their needs and present the company's offerings.
- **Product demonstrations**:Providing detailed demonstrations of products or services, highlighting key features and benefits to potential customers.
- **Sales presentations**:Delivering compelling sales presentations to showcase the value proposition and address customer concerns.
- **Relationship building**:Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients to foster repeat business and customer loyalty.
- **Negotiation**:Negotiating pricing, contracts, and terms of sale with clients to close deals.
- **Sales reporting**:Tracking sales performance, maintaining accurate customer data, and submitting regular reports to management.
- **Market analysis**:Staying updated on industry trends, competitor activity, and market dynamics to inform sales strategies.
- **Customer service**:Addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues, and providing post-sale support.
Required skills for a field sales executive:
