**Job Summary**:
We’re seeking a Hardware Architect for Industrial Automation based Products to join us in Bangalore location. As a Hardware Architect, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and optimization of cutting-edge hardware solutions for the Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR). You will be responsible for creating robust and innovative hardware architectures that enhance the performance, functionality, and reliability of our AMR’s as well as other Automation products. Your expertise will contribute to the development of next-generation systems, ensuring they meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Hardware Architecture Design: Develop and design efficient and scalable hardware architectures. This includes defining MAG AMR’s system components, subsystems, interfaces, and interconnections.
- Technology Evaluation: Understand overall system requirements and formulate hardware development plans accordingly
- PCB Design: Design PCBs according to requirements of the MAG AMR and peripheral systems.
- Issue Resolution: Resolve issues on the MAG AMR systems from site or from in-office testing.
- System Integration: Ensure seamless integration of AMR hardware components with existing systems or platforms. Collaborate with software architects/engineers and engineers to define interfaces and compatibility requirements, optimizing the overall system performance.
- Prototype Development: Lead the development and testing of hardware prototypes. Evaluate their functionality, performance, and adherence to design specifications.
- Design Verification and Validation: Define and implement testing procedures to verify and validate hardware designs. Conduct thorough testing to ensure compliance with performance, safety, and quality standards specific to camera solutions.
- Documentation and Reporting: Create comprehensive technical documentation, including specifications, design documents, test plans, and reports, with a specific focus on automation technologies. Communicate architectural concepts, design decisions, and implementation guidelines to stakeholders and team members effectively.
- Collaboration and Leadership: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, mechanical engineers, and product managers, to ensure a holistic approach to product development, especially regarding camera solutions. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers when required.
- Regulatory & Quality Compliance: Ensure that hardware designs comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and certifications, such as ISO and ANSI, in the context of automation solutions. Stay up to date with changing regulations and implement necessary changes to meet compliance requirements.
- Firmware development plan: Prepare and share outlined documents for pursuing firmware updates according the AMR’s hardware designs and plans.

**Educational Requirements**:
Bachelor's or master’s degree in electrical/electronics engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience of 4+ years as a hardware architect or a similar role in the Industrial Automation, Robotics or equivalent domains.
- Strong knowledge of hardware design principles, digital and analog circuitry, PCB layout, component selection, power management concepts and signal integrity, specifically related to industrial automation solutions, with experience of cost optimization of bill of materials.
- Familiarity with communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet) and embedded systems.
- Solid understanding of industry standards and regulations with respect to ISO safety standards, ANSI safety standards and equivalent
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of Industrial Automation systems
- Experience in working with 3rd party design and manufacturing houses
- Good working knowledge and experience for product qualification and certification
- Knowledge of Embedded C and STM32 chip programming
