Job Title: Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) - English
**Job Description**:
Position Summary:
The PGT English teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality English language instruction to students in classes 9-12. The teacher will create engaging lesson plans, assess student progress, and foster a positive learning environment conducive to academic growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Curriculum Development:
- Develop and implement comprehensive English language curricula aligned with academic standards and school objectives.
- Design lesson plans that incorporate a variety of instructional strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
2. Classroom Instruction:
- Deliver engaging and interactive English language lessons that facilitate student comprehension and critical thinking skills.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods, resources, and technologies to enhance student learning experiences.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and respected.
3. Assessment and Feedback:
- Evaluate student performance through formative and summative assessments, including exams, projects, and presentations.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to help them improve their English language skills and academic performance.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate with parents/guardians as needed.
4. Classroom Management:
- Establish and enforce classroom rules and expectations to promote a safe and orderly learning environment.
- Manage student behavior effectively, addressing any disruptions or conflicts in a positive and proactive manner.
- Encourage student participation and engagement in classroom activities and discussions.
5. Professional Development:
- Stay updated on current trends and best practices in English language teaching through professional development opportunities, workshops, and conferences.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share resources, strategies, and instructional materials to enhance teaching effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in English literature, education, or a related field.
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree or equivalent teaching certification.
- Previous teaching experience, preferably at the secondary level.
- Strong knowledge of English language and literature.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and learning management systems.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month

- Morning shift
