Reservation & Ticketing Executive

**Job Summary**:
The Reservation & Ticketing Executive is responsible for managing the sale, reservation, and issuance of travel tickets for customers, ensuring smooth processing and providing excellent customer service. This role involves coordinating with clients to understand their travel needs, issuing tickets, and handling any related customer service inquiries. The Ticketing Executive will also ensure that all ticketing processes comply with airline, rail, or other travel policies and regulations.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Ticket Booking and Issuance**:
- Process bookings and issue tickets for domestic and international travel across airlines, trains, buses, or other transport services.
- Provide clients with detailed information about ticket prices, availability, and schedules.
- Handle last-minute changes to bookings, cancellations, or re-issuances of tickets as required.
- **Customer Service and Support**:
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding ticket availability, pricing, and travel routes.
- Address and resolve customer issues related to ticket bookings, cancellations, and refunds.
- Offer advice on travel options, including the best routes, timings, and pricing to meet customer preferences.
- **Travel Coordination and Documentation**:
- Coordinate with airlines, travel agents, or other transportation providers to confirm bookings and ensure smooth ticketing procedures.
- Ensure that all relevant documents, such as flight details, itineraries, and passenger information, are accurate and complete.
- Ensure that customers are aware of all travel requirements, including baggage policies, special requests, and travel restrictions.
- **Ticketing Systems and Software**:
- Use travel booking systems, Global Distribution Systems (GDS), or other online platforms to process and manage ticket bookings.
- Maintain accurate records of all ticket sales, cancellations, and refunds.
- Stay updated on the latest changes in ticketing software and airline policies to enhance operational efficiency.
- **Billing and Payment**:
- Process payments and issue invoices for ticket bookings, ensuring that transactions are accurately recorded.
- Handle billing discrepancies and follow up on payment issues as needed.
- Ensure that any refunds, adjustments, or cancellations are processed in accordance with company and industry policies.
- **Coordination with Other Departments**:
- Collaborate with travel coordinators, tour operators, and customer service teams to ensure seamless travel experiences for customers.
- Keep the sales and marketing teams informed of promotions, discounts, or changes in ticketing policies that could impact customers.
- **Compliance and Reporting**:
- Ensure all ticketing operations are compliant with industry regulations, company policies, and legal requirements.
- Maintain records of ticket transactions and provide regular reports to management regarding sales, cancellations, and other relevant metrics.
**Required Skills and Qualifications**:
- **Education**: A high school diploma is required; a degree or certification in travel and tourism or a related field is plus.
- **Experience**:
- Previous experience in ticketing, reservations, or customer service in the travel industry is highly plus.
- **Skills**:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with MS Office and ticketing software or booking platforms.
- **Languages**: Proficiency in Gujarati and Hindi is a plus.
