Job Summary

A Safety Officer is an individual responsible who ensures compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) guidelines in a workplace. They advise on safety measures, conduct risk assessments, enforce preventative measures, set up a safe workplace, and foster a culture of attention to health and safety.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, with a minimum expectation of 48 hours per week, Monday to Saturday.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Preparation of monthly and fortnightly EHS reports along with recording observations of activities happening at our factories & ensuring safety compliance is adhered to accordingly.
- Ensure regular inspections & audits are conducted at the factories, and that operations are conducted with zero major and minor safety related incidents.
- Conduct a prompt safety induction and training for machine operators, production, quality and engineering teams and labor, with HR.
- Work with site teams for implementation of critical safety systems and carry out periodic audits to ensure effectiveness of systems and conduct any incident investigation when applicable.
- Analyze and review monthly safety performance with the site leadership team and provide recommendations and inputs for revising safety procedures and related work processes.
- Combine business MIS and ensure periodic updates to business leadership.

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications
Minimum.
- Technical experience in fire, chemical & machine safety engineering, data analysis
- In depth knowledge of safety and health standards
- Strong knowledge of regulatory and legal requirements in respect of both health & safety
- Technical and Analytical skills
- Proficient in using MS Office

Minimum Education
Graduate in Engineering (preferably Fire/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering)

Diploma in Industrial Safety from CLI/RLI, NEBOSH Experience (preferred)

Diploma Fire Safety/ADIS/PDIS (preferred)

Work Experience
12-15 years of experience in industrial safety.

Salary

₹10,00,000.00 - ₹15,00,000.00 per annum, negotiable based on experience.
