**Job Title**: Sales Officer - Transport Services
**Location**: Wakad, Pune
**Reports to**: General Manager
**Job Summary**:
The Sales Officer will be responsible for driving revenue growth by selling the organization’s transport services, which includes freight, passenger transport, or vehicle leasing services. This role involves identifying business opportunities, acquiring new clients, and maintaining long-term relationships with customers to ensure repeat business and high customer satisfaction.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Sales and Business Development**:
- Identify potential clients in need of transportation and logistics solutions, including businesses requiring freight, passenger transport, or vehicle rental services.
- Generate new business through direct sales activities, cold calling, networking, and industry events.
- Present and promote the company’s transportation services to potential clients.
- Develop and maintain a sales pipeline to meet monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- **Client Relationship Management**:
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and new clients.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients to address concerns, resolve issues, and ensure satisfaction with the company’s transport services.
- Provide after-sales support, including service updates and addressing any service concerns promptly.
- **Market Research and Competitor Analysis**:
- Conduct market research to identify new market opportunities, emerging trends, and key players in the transport industry.
- Monitor competitors’ activities and pricing strategies to ensure the company’s offerings remain competitive.
- Provide feedback to the management team on market needs and areas for service improvement.
- **Negotiation and Contracting**:
- Prepare and deliver proposals tailored to the specific needs of clients.
- Negotiate terms, pricing, and service agreements with clients to close deals.
- Ensure that contracts are in place and comply with company policies.
- **Reporting and Performance Tracking**:
- Prepare sales reports, forecasting, and pipeline updates to keep the management team informed of sales progress and upcoming opportunities.
- Analyze sales data to assess performance against targets and identify areas for improvement.
- **Collaboration with Operations and Logistics Teams**:
- Work closely with the operations and logistics teams to ensure the smooth delivery of services as promised to clients.
- Coordinate with internal teams to resolve service delivery issues and ensure timely and effective transportation solutions.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, or related field.
- 2 years of sales experience, preferably in the transportation, logistics, or related industry.
- Proven ability to achieve sales targets and drive business growth.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
**Key Competencies**:
- Sales and negotiation expertise.
- Knowledge of the transport and logistics sector, including industry regulations.
- Customer service orientation.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
