**Job Title**:Consultant: Grassroots Coordinator (Western Himalayas)
**Location**: Pune & field location/s

Company is looking Grassroots Coordinator to join the team at Pune, India. They are expected to work directly under the CEO and support in development and management of all communications related directions of the company, its internal verticals, and partners.

**Position Summary -**This position is externally and internally focused on long-term partnership priorities and development of grassroot organisations. They are expected to cultivate, grow, and manage partners through discovery of their work and work within a highly-matrixed environment. Consultant: Grassroots Coordinator will engage and support partners for optimizing their capacities, assessments, and actions related to partnership goals.

Reports to Head of Grassroots Development

**Essential Responsibilities & Functions**
- Provide and/or coordinate necessary support to partner NGOs. Assist with planning and prioritization to support partnership goals and requirements.
- Support livelihoods initiatives: market chain valuation analysis and support, agricultural improvements, tourism, NTFP processing improvements, and others as determined by vertical head and grassroot organisations.
- Conduct or oversee trainings for the community committees/groups with grassroot partners, including systematic follow up
- Arrange village, commune, district and provincial meetings and workshops related to resource mobilisation, fundraising, resource management, zoning and Free Prior and Informed Consent along with grassroot partners
- Engage as active interface for company and grassroots partner/s
- Work with diverse team ensuring overall, and especially community compliance with conservation and livelihood projects
- Support development and delivery of a wide range of capacity building programs for grassroot partners
- Ensuring compliance with safety protocols and procedures Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
- Equivalent combination of a Master’s degree in social sciences, grassroot NGO management, or related field
- 3-5 years of related work experience in community-led natural resources management, biodiversity conservation, livelihood development, value chain development, capacity building, and local stakeholder issues, grassroots development, NGO management and/or relevant
- Experience synthesizing, interpreting, and communicating information, complicated data in using MS Office Suites
- Knowledge management and Communication experience, including technical reports, presentations and trainings to technical and non-technical audiences, and synthesising summaries of social science methods, concepts, and results or relevant
- Experience with and/or commitment to support engagement with Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities (IPLC’s)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: ₹400,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
