Section 3 : Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for designing and implementing short and long term strategic goals for managing and maintaining network.
- Create and develop plans for investing in network management that will increase cost effectiveness and flexibility.
- Manage day to day IT Network infrastructure & Operations within defined SLAs
- Manage prioritization for tasks and projects and ensure completion of these in line with IT Department objectives and budget demands and adapt to changing priorities.
- Switch trouble shooting and recovery in case of any outage
- Logging ticket with network vendor for any Router or Link related issues
- Performance & Capacity management/planning
- Configuration of suitable access lists, VLANS on the switches if required.
- Configuring authentication protocols that are available in IOS (like AAA) if any available in clients’ environment
- Device Configuration and Patch management
- Keep latest information (device info, IOS versions, logs of devices)
- Configuration Backup Management
- Ensure Incident, Service Request, Problem Management, Change Management ITIL practices followed
- Vendor Management
- Checking / Updating latest OS / Software version
- Firewall design and monitoring
- Provide third-level support by way of troubleshooting performance and system issues, working with vendors and system integrators, running and analysing reports, daily network checks
- Provide meaningful and timely reporting,
- Assess, debug and resolve IT issues and escalations in a timey manner, showing an appropriate sense of urgency and ability to prioritize work when multiple issues are presented simultaneously.
- Taking ownership of faults and managing them in a logical and methodical manner.
- Correctly logging incidents and faults, categorizing, and prioritizing them in line with team procedures.
- Conducting full and through diagnostics with end users to enable first point of contact fault resolution.
- Ensuring all faults are progressed & cleared within SLA - escalating to other internal and external teams as appropriate.
- Managing faults through their entire lifecycle from the first point of contact through to resolution, proactively keeping the customer informed of progress.
- Diagnosing and resolving problems to the customers satisfaction.
- Maintain and develop own knowledge and skills to assist with first time fault resolution.
- Identify and escalate repeat issues or service risks into service management teams.
- Sharing knowledge with team colleagues
- Manage a number of scheduled tasks for customers, designed to ensure that the customers systems remain operational

Resolve all the Vulnerabilities in a timely manner as per the vulnerability report received from SAG
