- **Primary Purpose**:As a member of the Information Management Program, the Integration Architect’s primary purpose is to design, develop, maintain, and support the integration platform, capability, and function. The role is responsible for the coordination of integration design, development, build and deployment activities. The Integration Architect will provide oversight and have a strong hands-on role in the development of the solutions and artefacts, working closely with both internal stakeholders and external vendors.

**Responsibility**:The Integration Architect is responsible for:

- Designing, building, and managing solution designs and a roadmap that explain the problem, the architecture, how the system works, key considerations for security and data privacy and how it will be delivered.
- Establishing the required governance policies and implementation patterns that will ensure integration is consistent, efficient, effective and to a quality of service that meets business needs.
- Articulating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, collaborate with team members, and discuss data requirements with business users.
- Developing and managing effective relationships to collaborate on data analytics initiatives and projects.
- Leading design and delivery of Azure APIs and associated data platform solutions aligned to best practices and Council’s standards.
- Actively contribute to the Enterprise Architecture capability.
- Leading design and integration using Azure platforms in a manner which allows the management and provision of data in a secure and reliable manner.
- Establishing an Integration Centre of Excellence to support Projects with common design & development principles, standards, and processes.
- Providing technical advice to Projects and support them with solution design documents and other technical deliverables.
- Leading IM Architecture Review Group to review technical designs and provide recommendations as per CoA’s Enterprise Roadmap.
- Ensuring platforms and data solutions can be deployed and operated in a repeatable, reliable, and predictable manner.
- Leading all facets of integration documentation including solution design, processes, work instructions, test documents and other related documents
- Leading the analysis of the current technology environment to identify deficiencies and recommend opportunities for improvement.
- Leading technical discussions with Internal & External Stakeholders to ensure compliance to CoA’s Design Standards.

**Qualification**:A tertiary qualification in Information Management or related field and/or commensurate demonstrated experience in lieu of formal qualifications., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solution Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer, Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer.

**Technical Knowledge & Expertise**:

- Very strong, in-depth and demonstrable hands-on experience with the following technologies:

- Microsoft Azure IaaS, PaaS and SaaS
- Advanced usage of the Azure tool, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks for Advanced Analytics Services, Azure Cognitive Services, Azure Synapse Analytics.
- Microsoft Azure integration technologies including Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Azure Service Bus, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Notifications Hub, Azure API Management
- Languages such as C#, JavaScript, Python etc.
- XML/SOAP & JSON/RESTful APIs
- Code repository solutions such as DevOps, Visual Studio Team Services or Git
- Microsoft Azure Operational and Monitoring tools
