**JOB DESCRIPTION**
The HL Risk Strategic Analytics team spans the globe, primarily sitting in Plano, TX and Bengaluru, India, however we have staff and executive presences across 9 locations worldwide: Plano TX, Columbus OH, Wilmington DE, Jersey City NJ, Tempe AZ, Jacksonville FL, Manila Philippines, Mumbai India and Bengaluru India.

As part of the Strategic Analytics and Data team within Home Lending Risk provides analytical insights and recommendations to the risk policy owners and the Home Lending Chief Risk Officer to help manage and mitigate risk and support regulatory deliverables. You will also provide accurate data to assist the production of financial forecasts, and the development of credit and financial models. Additionally responsible for analytical viewpoints span nearly all aspects of mortgage banking including influencing policy for new loan originations, loan servicing, capital markets, the bank’s held-for-investment loan portfolio, and financial forecasts/reserves.

- Will be key members of the Risk Management and Strategic Analytics team within Chase Home Lending and will focus on data driven strategy analysis, identification of emerging risks, development of insightful reporting, and presenting findings to business partners and business leaders.
- Responsible to generate analytics that provide a Risk point-of-view, make data-driven recommendations to mitigate risks, and solve business issues that have a direct impact on the bottom-line.
- Develop and Monitor key-leading indicators of risk and detect, analyze, summarize, and escalate unexpected trends to senior management.
- Performing ad-hoc analysis and generate reports for Risk Management by extracting data, performing data manipulation and quality checks, and developing actionable insights.
**Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills**
- An intermediate understanding of a data querying language or manipulation tool such as SAS, SQL, or Python
- An undergraduate and/or graduate degree in a STEM or Business related field such as (but not limited to) Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, MIS, IT, Economics, Risk Management, Analytics, Finance, or Accounting
- Experience working with stakeholders - building trust through hard work and honest assessments of projects, strong communication, high emotional intelligence
- Working as part of a highly productive team, where culture and cooperation are critical for success.
**Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills**
- Any prior experience working with large relational databases is a plus
- Any prior experience synthesizing large quantities of data using tools such as Teradata, ORACLE or SAS is a plus
- Any prior experience working within a consumer bank, particularly within a risk or compliance function, or within the home lending line of business is a plus
- Any prior experience building and operating within a well-controlled data environment (following established procedures, recommending enhancements to controls) is a plus
