Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and production of a wide variety of baked goods, including breads, pastries, cakes, and desserts.
- Follow recipes and presentation standards to ensure consistency and quality.
- Collaborate with the Chef de Partie and Pastry Chef on new recipes and seasonal menu items.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
- Ensure that all baking equipment is properly used and maintained.
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
- Assist in training junior kitchen staff and apprentices as required.
- Contribute to the development of menu items and specials.
Qualifications:
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience in a bakery or pastry kitchen.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a professional bakery or pastry setting.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques and pastry production.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Creative flair and a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
