**Title**:
Clinical Assessor for children

**Summary**

***Responsible for the successful completion of clinical assessments and assisting in follow up of tasks related to connecting children and families to recommended services. The person will also be responsible in supporting KLAY facilitator to run individualized programs with the child in the assigned program room.

**Specific position duties and responsibilities**:

- Conduct screenings, and clinical assessments; schedule appointments for clinical assessments at times that are convenient for families (including non-traditional work hours)
- Make every attempt to successfully reach all children referred for assessments
- Work closely with referred child and his/her faciilitators and all relevant stakeholders to coordinate all efforts that will support the completion of the clinical assessment
- Ensure all key stakeholders are kept informed of all progress made from point of referral to point of assessment completion and recommendations made.
- Participate in all scheduled meetings and provide ongoing support and consultation to the KLAY center network that are serving children across different age groups (6 months
- 6 years); engage in discussion of noted needs of this population and actively participate in problem solving efforts
- Assist with collecting outcome data to in a manner that fully ensures transparency, all in efforts to ensure that children are served in the mostly timely/responsive and clinically appropriate manner
- Provide ongoing support and consultation to respective program facilitator and in-center staff regarding the assessments of referred child and ensure that they are knowledgeable of all outcomes post submission of referrals
- Maintain appropriate contacts with corporate team as and when required
- Create and conduct ILAP for children as per the prescribed hours

**General organizational duties and responsibilities**:
***-Participates in all designated training, program training, supervision, and consultation activities - Completes all required trainings
- Participates in discussions at center to serve children in appropriate way
- Demonstrates a willingness to assist in related programs as needed
- Acts as a custodian and demonstrates responsible and ethical use of organisation’s property and facilities
- Displays sensitivity to the children’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics

**Minimum qualifications**:

- Master’s degree in clinical Psychology from an accredited institution
- 2 years of experience in assessing pre-primary children in clinic / educational setting

**Knowledge, skills and abilities**:

- Must demonstrate strong clinical counselling and assessment skills.
- Strong preference for knowledge of the child development milestones and developmental patterns
- Experience with client documentation and file management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Prior experience in taking Remedial programs for learning disabilities or developmental delay in children would be a plus point.
