Applied Materials, Inc. is the leader in materials engineering solutions used to produce virtually every new chip and advanced display in the world.

Requires in-depth knowledge and experience. Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services. Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions. Works independently, receives mínimal guidance. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Leads purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering departments to maintain inventory at planned levels. Leads problem resolution for material related accounting and receiving issues
- Develops methods of business simplification for the procurement function. Participates in the development of ISO documents for the purchasing function.
- Experience in commodities like Machining/ Cables/Wiring or Electromechanical
- Manages activities of the purchasing group in the manager’s absence. Manages projects for purchasing; as required, monitors the cost, schedule and scope of assigned projects. Oversees workload distribution among Buyers; trains and audits activities of lower level personnel.

**Qualification**:
Master’s/ Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics or related stream

**Experience**:
7+ years of relevant experience

Demonstrates conceptual and practical expertise in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines
