**Specific Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:

- Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process
- Bring the books to the trial balance stage
- Enter data, maintain records and ensure financial transactions are properly recorded and entered into the accounting system
- Prepare and submit weekly/monthly financial reports as needed
- Provide administrative support to the finance team as needed
- Reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Perform partial checks of the posting process in the accounting software
- Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct daybook, supplier's ledger, customer ledger, and general ledger

**Personal Qualities, Knowledge, Experience and Skills Required**:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and procedures in India
- Familiarity with accounting software packages such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Zoho Book
- Proven bookkeeping experience of at least 4-5 years
- Knowledge of basic bookkeeping and accounting procedures
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
