**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Security Fundamentals: Should be able to understand / Explain concepts (NAT, ACL, Access Groups, IPsec, AAA) & have working knowledge and be able to troubleshoot network Protocols.
- Strong hands-on L2 level experience on Network Hardware like Cisco switches, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA.
- Serve as a technical lead for all Palo Alto firewall deployments (such as the cabling and initial configuration of the devices)
- Determine the severity and complexity of issues pertaining to the security and protection of systems data, (either alone or as part of a team) to ensure the protections, conservation, and accountability of proprietary, personal, or privileged electronic data
- Strong practical knowledge of network concepts including DNS, DHCP, VPN, network protocols, port configuration, link aggregation, spanning tree optimization, and performance tuning.
- Strong knowledge of routing protocols, EIGRP, BGP, and OSPF.
- Load Balancers: Troubleshoot hardware and software operation. Strong knowledge of all data flow through the load balancer.
- AWS-specific skills MUST: (Networking: vpc, virtual gateway, Route53, Direct Connect Gateway, transit vpc, transit gateway, lambda, endpoints, load balancers) and (Security: ACM, WAF, Config, CloudWatch, Flow-logs, IAM, ES etc.)
- Security Architecture: Build Cloud Network Architecture to support Encryption of Data at rest and transit
- Collaborate with director, managers, project managers, architects, and other individuals to ensure continuity and communication across teams
- Promote continued integration of technological advances to further enhance security and reduce risks
- Mentor and coach cyber security analysts, providing guidance and expertise in incident/issue response and resolution methodology
- Promote the development of innovative approaches and solutions to complex problems and issues

**Required Qualifications**:

- PCNSE, CCNP R&S, CCNP Security Certification
- 4 and 6 years of Strong Enterprise networking with Routing/Switching configuration/diagnostic experience in Global Network infrastructure design delivery of WAN, LAN, Firewall, and F5.
- 5+ years of experience installing, monitoring, and maintaining Next Gen firewall (Palo Alto) solutions including policy design and implementation
- 3+ years of experience evaluating and designing firewall solutions for technology projects
- Proven work experience as a system security engineer or information security engineer
- Experience on cloud security, Routing & Switching
- Strong planning and problem-solving skills
- Ability to troubleshoot in highly complex, technical situations within a matrixed organization
- Ability to identify and mitigate security issues/incidents
- Ability to document and communicate on an expert level.
