**Position Overview**:
The **Content Strategist** is responsible for developing and implementing content strategies that support the organization’s business objectives and enhance brand visibility. This role involves researching audience needs, creating and curating engaging content, optimizing content for SEO, and ensuring a consistent brand voice across all communication channels. The Content Strategist will work closely with marketing, design, product, and sales teams to deliver high-quality, customer-centric content that drives engagement and conversions.
**Key Responsibilities:1. Content Strategy Development**
- Develop and execute comprehensive content strategies that align with the organization’s marketing and business goals.
- Conduct audience research to understand customer needs, preferences, and pain points, using data to inform content decisions.
- Create and maintain content calendars to ensure timely, consistent content delivery.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure content supports brand messaging, campaigns, and product launches.
- Identify key content themes, messaging pillars, and storytelling opportunities that resonate with target audiences.
**2. Content Creation & Optimization**
- Lead content creation efforts across various formats, including blog posts, articles, social media content, website copy, video scripts, and more.
- Write, edit, and proofread high-quality content that aligns with SEO best practices and the company’s tone of voice.
- Optimize content for search engines (SEO) by conducting keyword research and implementing on-page optimization strategies.
- Collaborate with designers, developers, and other teams to create visually appealing and interactive content experiences.
**3. SEO & Performance Tracking**
- Conduct keyword research to improve organic search rankings and drive traffic to the company’s digital assets.
- Analyze the performance of content through tools like Google Analytics, social media insights, and other metrics.
- Use data-driven insights to refine content strategies and improve audience engagement and conversion rates.
- A/B test headlines, CTAs, and content formats to identify the most effective approaches.
**4. Brand & Voice Consistency**
- Maintain content guidelines and best practices to help other teams create content that aligns with the brand identity.
- Monitor content across all channels to ensure it meets quality standards and aligns with overall marketing objectives.
**5. Content Distribution & Promotion**
- Leverage partnerships and influencer relationships to enhance content reach and engagement.
**6. Team Collaboration & Management**
- Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, design, product, and sales, to develop cross-functional campaigns and initiatives.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior content creators and support content production workflows.
**7. Content Research & Trend Monitoring**
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, content best practices, and new content technologies.
- Monitor competitors and analyze market trends to identify new content opportunities.
- Continuously evolve content strategies based on emerging trends and audience needs.
**Required Skills and Qualifications**:
- **Bachelor's degree** in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- **3-5 years** of experience in content strategy, content marketing, or a similar role.
- Strong portfolio of content (e.g., articles, blog posts, whitepapers, videos) demonstrating writing and content creation skills.
- **Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills**, with a strong attention to detail.
- Experience with **SEO best practices**, keyword research, and content optimization.
- Familiarity with **content management systems (CMS)** like WordPress, HubSpot, or similar.
- Proficiency in **Google Analytics**, **Google Search Console**, and other performance tracking tools.
- Ability to analyze data and use insights to drive content decisions.
- Experience with **social media platforms** and **content distribution channels**.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong project management skills with experience in managing content workflows and cross-functional collaboration.
**Preferred Skills**:
- Experience in **video content creation**, or working with video production teams.
- Knowledge of **marketing automation tools** such as Marketo, HubSpot, or Mailchimp.
- Familiarity with **Adobe Creative Suite** (Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere) or similar design tools.
