Job Description:-·Perform a variety of activities involving the coding of medical records by assigning accurate diagnosis and CPT codes as per ICD-10 CM and CPT-4 systems of coding·
Perform Coding for Radiology Charts with a minimum of 98% accuracy and as per turnaround time requirements·
Exceeds the productivity standards for Radiology Medical Coding - as per the productivity norms for inpatient and/or specialty specific outpatient coding standards·
Maintains high degree of professional and ethical standards·
Focuses on continuous improvement by working on projects while being in compliant with the standards·
Focuses on updating coding skills, knowledge, and accuracy by participating in coding team meetings and educational conferences·
Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) and coding software.·
Knowledge of radiology procedures and terminology·
Experience in researching and applying coding rules and regulations.·
Excellent oral and written communication skills.·
Have a positive, respectful attitude.
Requirements:-To be considered for this position, applicants need to meet the following qualification criteria:·
Graduates in life sciences with 2 - 3 years of experience in Medical Coding for Radiology specialty including pro-fee and facility setting·
Exposure to CPT-4, ICD-10 CM, and HCPCS coding·
Must be a certified coder through AHIMA and/or AAPC, with active certification license·
Athena Experience will be Added advantage
