Role Summary:


We are looking for an experienced procurement professional to support the OEM procurement group of Mavenir. The role is based in our office in India. The individual will be responsible for end to end sourcing activities of Mavenir’s OEM global requirements


Location : Bangalore


Key Responsibilities:


  • Conduct and lead commercial and legal negotiations with suppliers on price, delivery and quality, while showing ability to execute cost reduction initiatives and identify areas of cost savings.
  • Manage the business relations with different vendors and sub vendors
  • Evaluate suppliers’ quotations with regards to specifications, price, delivery, credit terms and all other data meeting the requirements of the internal business unit.
  • As part of supplier management, manage and monitor suppliers’ performance, issue relevant reports, issue purchase orders, engage in ongoing cost reduction activities, agreement renegotiations, etc.
  • Draft, implement and adjust sourcing strategies for certain areas or categories.
  • Ensure that data entered in Procurement systems is clear and accurate for reporting purposes.
  • Meet with internal customers to determine requirements, strategies, change in direction and ensure ongoing compliance and communication of Procurement’s policies and tools.
  • Source new services and products upon receipt of a clear specification from the requestor.
  • Explore new business opportunities (new suppliers, business models and methods).
  • Liaison with Legal, Supply chain and business and technical stakeholder
  • Perform cost and financial spend analysis (benchmark, in-source vs. outsource).
  • Draft Third Party Project Management Plans to support deployment of new products and services for trials and ongoing deployments.
  • Ongoing teamwork and collaborating with colleagues and the various units.
  • Represent Mavenir in a professional, coordinated and effective manner.


Job Requirements:


  • 8 to 10 years of experience in a similar role
  • Have fair knowledge of contracting services and vendor onboarding process execution.
  • Experience in purchasing practices and procedures within the OEM, Telco arena, resource and service providing company is essential.
  • Expert knowledge in Procuring Services
  • Previous experience working for global organizations.
  • Self-driven. Must be able to work under minimal supervision.
  • Strong negotiating skills.
  • Capable to interact with senior stakeholder, supplier representative.
  • Ability to be quick, agile and highly responsive.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, a team player.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or similar.
