Full Stack Data Engineer (6-Month Contract, Remote in India)

About the Opportunity:


We are recruiting on behalf of a global leader in analytics and insights for commodity markets. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Full Stack Data Engineer to contribute to the development of a next-generation digital analytics platform. This is a 6-month remote contract based in India, offering you the chance to work on cutting-edge technology in a dynamic environment.


Role Overview:

As a Full Stack Data Engineer , you will build scalable web applications, design robust data pipelines, and ensure seamless data integration and processing. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, developers, and UX/UI designers, to deliver a reliable and efficient data infrastructure that supports advanced analytics and reporting.


Location: Remote (India)

Duration: 6 months


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain front-end and back-end components of web applications, ensuring software quality and security through testing and code reviews.
  • Design, build, and maintain data pipelines for extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data from diverse sources.
  • Optimize data storage and retrieval processes for performance and scalability.
  • Create efficient data models and schemas using SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs for data and functionality integration with front-end applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application performance and data integration issues, deploying updates to production environments.
  • Implement monitoring and alerting mechanisms to ensure the reliability of data pipelines.


What You Bring:

  • 10+ years of experience in backend development using Python, Java, or Node.js, with expertise in frameworks like Django, Flask, Spring Boot, or Express.js.
  • Strong experience in data engineering, including building and maintaining ETL pipelines and working with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and their data services.
  • Expertise in relational and NoSQL databases, with a strong understanding of database design and optimization.
  • Proven experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with data pipeline orchestration tools like Airflow or Luigi.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
  • Bonus: Front-end development experience (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Analytical mindset and exceptional problem-solving skills.
