Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Production Head to lead the production team in creating high-quality content across video, audio, and digital formats. This role requires a strategic thinker who can manage the entire production process from concept to delivery, ensuring all projects align with brand goals, maintain high production standards, and meet deadlines. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of content creation for digital platforms and a proven record of managing teams and resources efficiently.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Management:
  • Oversee end-to-end production workflows for digital content, including video, audio, and web formats.
  • Plan, budget, and allocate resources for multiple projects, ensuring optimal utilization of time, talent, and budget.
  • Coordinate with editorial, marketing, and design teams to align content production with brand objectives and audience engagement goals.


  • Video Editing Quality & Upscaling:
  • Set high standards for video editing quality, focusing on creative storytelling, visual appeal, and technical excellence.
  • Conduct regular quality reviews of all video outputs, providing constructive feedback to editors to enhance consistency and be aligned with brand aesthetics and evolving industry standards.
  • Establish a framework for continuous improvement, exploring advanced techniques, tools, and industry trends to keep content fresh and engaging.
  • Mentor editors in advanced editing techniques, colour grading, and sound design, and enhance the skills of video editors, with a focus on technical proficiency, visual storytelling, and platform-specific optimizations post-production effects to elevate the overall quality of content.


  • Team Leadership:
  • Lead a team of producers, editors, DOP and technical staff, fostering a collaborative and creative environment.
  • Hire, train, and mentor team members, developing their skills and keeping them updated with industry trends and technologies.
  • Ensure high performance by setting clear goals, providing constructive feedback, and evaluating team performance.


  • Quality Control:
  • Uphold high standards for content quality, consistency, and brand alignment.
  • Monitor each phase of the production process, ensuring that all outputs meet technical, creative, and legal standards.
  • Implement quality checks and maintain a post-production process for continuous improvement.


  • Budgeting & Resource Allocation:
  • Prepare and manage production budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.
  • Track expenses and maintain accurate records, reporting on budgetary performance to senior management.


  • Project Planning & Execution:
  • Develop production schedules, allocate resources, and manage project timelines.
  • Anticipate project challenges, proactively troubleshoot issues, and make swift adjustments to keep projects on track.


  • Innovation & Process Improvement:
  • Stay updated on the latest production techniques, tools, and industry trends, applying them to elevate production quality and efficiency.
  • Identify and implement new production processes to streamline workflow and improve team productivity.


  • Vendor & Partner Management:
  • Build and maintain relationships with external production partners, freelancers, and vendors.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage vendor agreements to ensure quality service and cost-effectiveness.


  • Compliance & Safety:
  • Ensure all productions comply with safety protocols, copyright laws, and other legal standards.
  • Maintain safe working environments on set and handle equipment with care.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Media Studies, Communications, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 8+ years of experience in content production, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale productions, ideally within digital media, entertainment, or a similar industry.
  • Strong understanding of digital content platforms (e.g., YouTube, Instagram, OTT) and audience expectations.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a focus on collaboration and motivation.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with production software and tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, etc.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard compliance and legal considerations, including copyright laws and safety protocols.
