Purpose of the role:
- Spearhead the activities for sourcing of Direct Materials required for the international markets with high levels of integrity from the third party locations covering;
-Finished Products on LL basis
-Finished Products on P2P basis
-Inputs materials required in manufacturing of those finished products at the third party locations
- Provide leadership to the team while establishing and maintaining measurable performance metrics at all levels of procurement activities like;
-Supplier performance management
-Supplier quality management
-Financial performance to achieve targeted savings & maintain product competitiveness
-Delivery performance management - OTIF and Material shortage elimination
-Risk identification and execute timely risk mitigation plans
-Compliance management
-People development
- Establish and manage relationship with CMO partners keeping long term association- High levels of understanding of global markets including USA, Europe, Latam & RoW markets- High levels of understanding of working with CMO partners location outside of India- High levels of understanding on the long term agreement execution
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage company’s spend in procurement of Direct Materials in a cost effective manner- Development of organizational raw materials procurement strategy- Strategize & manage sourcing process for global markets through cross-functional collaboration- Strategic negotiation with vendors to get best quality at optimum price and entering into supply agreement to secure timely supplies- Ensure on time launches of new products through seamless availability of materials- Develop alternate vendors to reduce reliance on single source and mitigate risk related to supplies and price- Inventory management of materials to optimize use of working capital- Collaborate with manufacturing units and other stake holders for seamless production runs- Ensure vendor compliance as per cGMP throughout their lifecycle- Make Vs buy decision in sourcing decisions- Build and nurture talent for the future needs of the organization.- Induct best practices and processes for procurement function;

-Supplier evaluation process etc.,
- Review current processes and make necessary recommendations to identify more robust, cost effective & value-added processes to procure goods and services.- Managing the skills and competency development of procurement staff, including training development and knowledge management capabilities
Education background:
Mandatory: B Pharm / M Pharm / M.Sc. in Organics Chemistry Chemical Engineering, Masters in Chemistry or Equivalent
Preferred Experience:
10 to 15 years of experience in Procurement & Sourcing of Finished goods with equivalent pharmaceutical companies.
