  • About the Job – An experienced AWS IAM Specialist to manage and secure access to our Amazon RDS environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS Identity and Access Management, particularly in integrating Active Directory groups and implementing robust access controls which needs to integrate with Database.
  • Job Title – Cloud infrastructure engineer/architect

  • Notice - Immediate or 15 days only
  • Mandate- Hands on with AWS ,IAM and terraform.

Roles and Responsibilities :


  • Security Implementation: Develop and enforce database security policies, including access controls, encryption, and data privacy best practices.
  • Access Management: Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions in accordance with organizational security policies, leveraging AWS IAM and Active Directory integration.
  • Monitoring and Auditing: Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate risks associated with database access and data integrity.

Regularly monitor IAM roles and policies, conducting audits to ensure compliance and security.

  • Incident Response: Develop and implement incident response plans for database security breaches, ensuring rapid recovery and minimal impact.
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to integrate security practices into the database lifecycle, including development, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of IAM policies, security policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Active Directory Integration: Manage the integration of Active Directory with AWS IAM to streamline user access and permissions for RDS.
  • Policy Development: Create and maintain identity-based and resource-based policies that enforce least privilege access for users and applications.


Skills Required:

  • Strong understanding of AWS security best practices and compliance frameworks.
  • Proficiency in writing IAM policies and managing permissions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.
  • Designing scalable, cost-effective, and efficient Cloud solutions while taking care of compliance and best practices.
  • Working closely with stakeholders and product teams to gather technical and non-technical requirements and translate them into well-architected solutions.
  • Implement solutions using AWS offerings such as EC2,API,RDS, S3,EKS, Lambda, Redshift etc.
  • Configure and deploy solutions using automated solutions such as Terraform and AWS Cloud Formation.
  • Ensure that the architecture and solutions are compliant with AWS best practices and mitigate any security vulnerabilities that might occur.
  • Focus on optimizing performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Provide technical support on AWS-related issues, monitor solutions, and implement appropriate strategies to eliminate performance bottlenecks.
  • Utilize tools such as IAM, resource tagging, cost management, etc. to enforce AWS governance policies and implement monitoring and alerting solutions to address issues proactively.
  • Aware of best practices in the AWS Cloud and documenting the research done on new services and POC’s.
  • Cloud governance knowledge.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate technical solutions clearly.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.


Experience:

  • Minimum 6 Years of experience in IT industry.
  • 3+ years of experience in AWS IAM and access management.
  • 3+ years of experience in database security, specifically with AWS RDS.
  • Familiarity with Amazon RDS and its security features.
  • Experience with Active Directory and federated identity management.
  • Familiarity with AWS security best practices and compliance frameworks.


Preferred Qualification/Certifications:

  • AWS Certified Security Specialty or AWS Certified Database Specialty.
  • Experience with database engines such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
