Job Description:

We are seeking a talented Conservation Architect to join our team. As a Conservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring heritage buildings and monuments, ensuring their cultural and historical significance is maintained for future generations.

Responsibilities:

Assess the condition of heritage buildings and monuments, identifying areas in need of restoration or preservation. Develop conservation plans and strategies to protect and maintain the architectural integrity of heritage structures. Collaborate with stakeholders, including historians, archaeologists, and local communities, to ensure conservation efforts align with cultural and historical values. Prepare detailed architectural drawings, specifications, and documentation for restoration projects. Coordinate with contractors, craftsmen, and restoration specialists to implement conservation plans effectively. Conduct research on historical building materials, construction techniques, and preservation methods. Monitor ongoing restoration projects, ensuring compliance with conservation standards and regulations. Educate the public about the importance of heritage conservation and promote community engagement in preservation efforts. Stay updated on advancements in conservation practices and participate in professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in Architecture or equivalent. M.Phil/Ph.D/Post-Doctoral in the same field is preferable. Minimum of 15 years of experience in restoring heritage buildings/monuments. Strong knowledge of architectural conservation principles, techniques, and best practices. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team. Passion for preserving cultural heritage and historical landmarks.
