Job Overview:
Techno India Group seeks an ambitious and strategic Sports Development Officer to lead and enhance our sports initiatives and business development efforts. This role requires a proactive leader who can manage and expand the Group’s current and future sporting projects, develop new business revenue ideas, and drive the growth of our sports portfolio.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, capable of spearheading a team to achieve business goals. The role involves overseeing all sports-related aspects, including program development, partnership management, and business strategy, making it perfect for someone with a passion for sports and a vision for growth.
Key Responsibilities and Key Result Areas (KRAs):
1. Strategic Leadership and Planning:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sports development strategy aligning with Techno India Group’s objectives.
- Set clear targets and KPIs for sports programs and ensure their successful implementation.
- Identify and explore new opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships, and collaborations in the sports sector.
2. Management of Sporting Initiatives:
- Oversee the management and execution of existing and new sports programs within the Group, ensuring they meet high quality and performance standards.
- Regularly assess and optimize current sports initiatives to enhance participation, engagement, and impact.
- Develop strategic partnerships with sports brands, clubs, and other stakeholders to enhance the Group’s sports offerings.
3. Business Development and Revenue Growth:
- Design and implement business models that generate revenue through sports academies, events, merchandise, and other sports-related ventures.
- Lead efforts to market and promote sports initiatives, drive brand visibility, and attract sponsorships and investments.
- Develop innovative strategies to monetize sports programs and expand market presence locally and internationally.
4. Team Leadership and Development:
- Build and lead a dynamic sports development team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and performance excellence.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, ensuring professional growth and skill development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, finance, and PR, to drive cohesive execution of sports initiatives.
5. Program Development and Innovation:
- Create and launch new sports programs, events, and workshops that cater to diverse audiences and meet community needs.
- Integrate technology and data-driven approaches to enhance athlete performance, program effectiveness, and participant experience.
- Ensure all sports programs adhere to industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
6. Stakeholder Engagement and Networking:
- Act as the principal liaison with external sports organizations, clubs, and partners to strengthen Techno India Group’s network and influence in the sports industry.
- Engage with our schools, communities, and sports bodies to promote sports participation and foster a culture of excellence.
- Represent Techno India Group at crucial sports events, forums, and conferences, positioning the Group as a leader in sports development.
7. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting:
- Develop and monitor KPIs for all sports programs and initiatives, using data to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Prepare detailed reports on program performance, financial outcomes, and impact, presenting insights to the Director’s Office.
- Identify areas for improvement and make strategic recommendations to enhance the Group’s sports portfolio.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Educational Background: A Master's degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, or a related field is required; specialized certification in sports management is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in sports development, management, or business development with a strong record of managing sports programs and driving growth.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, inspire, and manage a team, with strong organizational and decision-making skills.
- Strategic Thinker: Ability to think strategically and critically, with the skills to develop innovative solutions and drive business outcomes.
- Business Acumen: Deep understanding of sports business models, sponsorship acquisition, and revenue generation.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
