1. Pain Management & Physical Rehabilitation with Heal XR:


· Heal XR Platform: Verity’s Heal XR platform is a CDSCO-registered medical device that seamlessly integrates Applied Neuroscience, Virtual Reality, AI, Advanced Data Analytics, and Gamification.

· Non-Invasive Solutions: Heal XR offers drug-free solutions for pain management and rehabilitation across various medical specialties, including Neurology, Oncology, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, and more.

· Patient-Centric Approach: Patients benefit from immersive gamification and personalized progress tracking, accelerating their recovery.


2. Surgical Training with Sim XR:


· Sim XR Platform: Verity’s Sim XR platform combines Mixed Reality, AI, and Cloud Computing.

· Realistic Training: Trainee surgeons can create virtual operating theaters in any space and train on realistic scenarios.

· Cloud-Based Recording: Training sessions are recorded and securely stored in the cloud for review by professors.

The Role


Verity is looking for a dynamic Virtual Reality 3D Technical Artist and Unity Developer to join our team. The candidate must be passionate about working in the healthcare space for a startup and exhibit the following qualities.

· Adaptability: Essential due to the fast-paced nature of startups and the ever-evolving landscape of healthcare technology.

· Problem-Solving Skills and Creativity: Vital for innovating and overcoming the complex challenges inherent in healthcare.

· Collaboration and Communication: Necessary to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including medical professionals, product development and business strategists.

We are seeking a skilled Virtual Reality (VR) 3D Technical Artist and Unity Developer to join our team. This hybrid role requires a professional adept in both the artistic and technical aspects of VR development. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between design and development, ensuring high-quality, performant, and immersive experiences for our users.


Responsibilities:


1. Content Creation and Optimization: Design, create, and optimize 3D assets and environments tailored for VR experiences. Ensure that assets maintain high visual fidelity while meeting performance standards for VR platforms.

2. Lighting Optimization: Implement and refine lighting setups using light baking, light probes, and reflection probes. Focus on achieving high-quality lighting effects that minimize performance overhead, tailored specifically for VR requirements.

3. Shader Development: Create and optimize shaders with Unity’s Shader Graph or HLSL, enhancing visual immersion while ensuring shaders are performance-efficient in VR contexts.

4. Rigging and Animation: Set up and animate characters and objects in Unity, using Mecanim for basic rigging and skeletal animations that align with VR interactions and enhance user immersion.

5. Pipeline and Workflow Management: Establish and refine asset creation workflows, integrating with other team members' pipelines, including animators, modelers, and developers.

6. Unity Development: Develop and integrate game mechanics, interactions, and animations within Unity to create seamless user experiences in VR.

7. Collaboration: Work closely with designers, developers, and UX teams to conceptualize and implement interactive features that align with the overall design vision.

8. Technical Problem-Solving: Address and resolve performance issues, troubleshoot rendering challenges, and optimize projects for different VR hardware.

9. Prototyping: Rapidly create and iterate on prototypes to test and showcase new features or ideas.

10. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for technical workflows, shader code, and best practices.


Qualifications:


1. Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or Computer Engineering with a focus on Game Design and Engineering.

2. 3+ years of experience in Unity development with a focus on VR projects.


Technical Skills:


1. Familiarity with Unity’s interface, project setup, and XR tools (like the XR Interaction Toolkit and VR SDKs).

2. General understanding of C# scripting for handling basic VR interactions.

3. Strong experience with 3D modeling tools (e.g., Blender, Maya, 3ds Max).

4. Advanced knowledge of creating and optimising real-time shaders using Unity's Shader Graph or HLSL.

5. Experience with performance optimisation techniques in VR, including LOD systems and rendering pipeline management.

6. Experience with light baking, light probes, and reflection probes to achieve optimal lighting with minimal performance overhead.

7. Basic rigging and animation, with skills in Unity’s Mecanim system and handling VR skeletal data.


Artistic Skills:


1. Strong sense of visual aesthetics, understanding of lighting, composition, and texture mapping.

Problem-Solving:

1. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical challenges in VR development.

Collaboration:

1. Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Portfolio:

1. A strong portfolio showcasing VR projects, shader work, and 3D technical artistry.

Preferred Skills:

1. Familiarity with VR SDKs (e.g., Oculus SDK, OpenXR).

2. Experience in developing for various VR platforms (e.g., Meta Quest, HTC Vive).

3. Knowledge of physics-based rendering (PBR) workflows.

4. Familiarity with animation and rigging pipelines for VR.
