Job Summary: -The Area Business Owner (ABO) is responsible for managing retail operations across adesignated territory. The ABO will oversee store performance, ensure sales targets areachieved, and drive business growth. This role involves leading and developing a team,ensuring high standards of customer service, and implementing effective marketingand promotional strategies to maximize sales and profitability. You will closely workwith the Line Managers and handle a team of Store Managers.Key Responsibilities-

Sales and Profitability:o Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.o Monitor store performance through regular analysis of sales data,customer feedback, and market trends.o Identify growth opportunities within the assigned area and implementaction plans to achieve sales objectives.-

Team Management:o Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of Store Managers and SalesAssociates to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve businessgoals.o Conduct regular performance reviews, set clear performanceexpectations, and provide ongoing training and developmentopportunities.o Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, ensuring highlevels of employee engagement and retention.-

Operational Excellence:o Ensure all stores adhere to company policies, procedures, and standards,including visual merchandising, inventory management, and storemaintenance.o Conduct regular store visits to ensure compliance with operationalstandards and identify areas for improvement.o Implement and monitor inventory control measures to minimize shrinkageand optimize stock levels.-

Customer Experience:o Maintain high standards of customer service across all stores, ensuring aconsistent and positive shopping experience.o Address customer complaints and issues promptly, ensuring effectiveresolution and customer satisfaction.o Utilize customer feedback to identify areas for improvement andimplement necessary changes.-

Marketing and Promotions:o Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute promotionalcampaigns and events.o Monitor the effectiveness of marketing activities and promotions, makingadjustments as needed to maximize results.o Ensure stores are aligned with brand guidelines and promotional strategies.-

Market Analysis and Business Development:o Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and consumerbehavior in the assigned area.o Identify new business opportunities, including potential store locations,partnerships, and expansion opportunities.o Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on areaperformance, challenges, and opportunities.-

Financial Management:o Manage the area’s budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources andcontrol of expenses.o Analyze financial reports to track progress against sales targets andprofitability goals.o Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising on quality orcustomer experience.Qualifications:-

Master’s degree, Retail Management, or a related field. MBA preferable.-

Proven experience in retail management, with at least 3 years in a supervisoryor managerial role.-

Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.-

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.-

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving results.-

Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.-

Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and retail managementsoftware.Key Competencies:-
