Quantum Security Engineer
Overview :
We seek a skilled PQC and Quantum Security Engineer/Scientist to develop, implement, and optimize quantum-safe cryptographic systems. This role focuses on advancing PQC algorithms, ensuring adherence to standards, and integrating security into diverse infrastructures to withstand quantum threats. You will work with QpiAI teams that are supporting enterprise quantum security adoption and PQC migrations.
Responsibilities
- Extend QpiAI's PQC libraries for secure Auth, data, networks, and data center security
- Research and implement PQC algorithms: lattice-based (NTRU, CRYSTALS-Kyber), code-based (McEliece), and hash-based (SPHINCS+).
- Benchmark, optimize, and validate algorithms per NIST FIPS, ISO/IEC 29192, and ETSI Quantum-Safe standards.
- Develop quantum-safe libraries using OpenSSL (liboqs), Bouncy Castle, and Crypto++, optimizing for WolfSSL and MbedTLS on embedded systems.
- Integrate PQC into TLS 1.3, IKEv2 for VPNs, and secure email protocols like S/MIME and PGP. Design quantum-safe communication protocols compatible with IPSec, TLS, MQTT, and Quantum Key Distribution (QKD). Implement secure key management using PKCS#11 and ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 11770 standards.
- Conduct quantum threat modeling and guide cryptographic agility for seamless PQC transitions per NIST Cybersecurity Framework and FIPS 140-3. Implement PQC within standards like NIST SP 800-208, ISO/IEC 18033-6, and ETSI GR QSC 001.
Qualifications
- Education: Ph.D./Master’s in Mathematics, Cryptography, Computer Science, Quantum Computing, or related field.
- Experience: 5+ years in cryptographic engineering, with 2+ years in PQC/quantum security.
- Skills: Proficient in OpenSSL, liboqs, Bouncy Castle, and Crypto++. Strong coding skills in Python, C/C++, and Rust. Experience in OpenSSH, TLS PQC protocols, hybrid cryptographic solutions, and post-quantum VPNs. Knowledgeable in Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) and Quantum Random Number Generators (QRNG).
