Position Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Remote Architectural Drafter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in architectural design and drawing, with the ability to work independently from a remote location. The Remote Architectural Drafter will be responsible for creang detailed drawings and plans for buildings and structures according to specifications provided by architects. You will be working closely with lead architects to prepare detailed, accurate drawings from rough sketches and esmaons, and you will be providing information required by contractors and various approval bodies. Other responsibilities include checking the accuracy of drawings done by teammates, ensuring builder compliance, and preparing colored drawings for presentations.
To be successful in this role, you should demonstrate exceptional skills using computer-aided drawing tools. The ideal candidate will also have an excellent eye for detail, superb communication and collaborator skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with architects and designers to understand project requirements and specifications.
• Produce detailed architectural drawings and plans using CAD software.
• Ensure all drawings and plans meet industry standards and codes.
• Revise drawings and plans according to feedback from architects and clients.
• Maintain accurate records of all drawings and project documentation.
• Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure a cohesive vision.
• Manage time efficiently to meet project deadlines.
• Prepare colored drawings and scale models to present to clients.
• Compile technical reports.
• Gather all the information needed to complete accurate drawings.
• Produce detailed drawings using CAD software.
• Update designs and check accuracy.
Qualifications:
• At least an associate's degree of applied science in architectural drafting.
• A bachelor's of science degree in architecture will be beneficial.
• Proven experience as an architectural drafter or similar role.
• Proficiency in CAD software and Bluebeam
• Exceptional drafting skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a timely fashion.
