RESPONSIBILITIES
As the APAC Emerging Markets BDM, you will drive profitable sales through building, executing and tracking emerging markets plans.
Markets: India (Focus), Australia, New Caledonia, French Polynesia, Indonesia, Maldives, Brunei, etc.
India (Focus)
- Co-Build, execute and track distributor, channel and customer plans.
- Commercial management of KPIs and JBP with key distributor partners. Support distributor sales teams & input value to customer negotiations where appropriate. Regular (weekly/monthly) contact via full contact strategy to influence and lead the agenda with distributor’s KAMs up to Sales Director. Ability to communicate to multiple levels within our partner organizations’ and internally is crucial. Monthly external business reviews with partners to review JBP.
- Understands the local market (market visit and industry networking) and use this knowledge to recommend actions and improve execution in the market.
- Guides and supports the distributor toward the valorization of our brands: evaluation of distributor, training of the sales force, implementation of incentives, solution for alternative channel.
Emerging Markets
- Build, execute and track distributor plans & JBPs
- Drive profitable double digit growth in the scope.
- Identify and launch future emerging markets for the zone (market assessment, distributor selection, launch plans execution).
- Identifies opportunities/threats of the market and strengths/weaknesses of our distributor network.
- Monitors the business indicators: sales forecasts/estimate, reporting, P&L, supply, crisis management, account receivables.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Minimum 5 years of relevant sales / expertise in export markets preferred.
SKILLS
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High Autonomy, Self-motivated, good team player and results-driven
- Distributor management experience preferred
- Problem-solving approach and analytical skills
- Highly organized with strong business planning skills
- Ability to prioritize effectively
- Entrepreneurial mindset
EDUCATION
- University Degree, Business, Operations or Marketing. Masters Preferred.
FOREIGN LANGUAGES
- FLUENT English and Hindi. Second language preferred (French / Thai etc)
