Educational Qualification:- B. in Design/ Masters in Design/ Diploma in Design from a reputed fashion technology instituteExperience:- 3+ years of work experience as a Designer in a Retail or Apparel manufacturing Industry, especially in women’s western wearKnowledge & Skills Required:-Superior knowledge of fashion design principlesExcellent creativity with a good sense of fashion and styleIn-depth knowledge of garment technology, taking measurements.Proficiency in computer-aided fashion design applications and digital visualization toolsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsStrong time-management skillsExcellent attention to detailKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Concept Evolution & Trend Analysis:To create concepts / Mood boards/ trend boards.Analysing trends in fabrics, colours and shapes- Through research/ internet/ in store surveys/ runways/ fashion weeks subscribing to channels/ magazines etc.Design Development :Creating artworks / sketches by hand or on computersSketch rough and detailed drawings of apparel or textiles, and write specifications such as techniques, colour schemes, construction, material types, accessory requirements and specific measurements requiredCreate detailed techpacksSampling & Range Development:Planning and developing rangesDirect and coordinate with Pattern Masters involved in drawing and cutting patternsDevelop range - overseeing sampling/ construction of samples or finished garments. Select materials and production-friendly techniques to be used for products.Coordination with the vendors at different stages of samplingPurchase competition samples for technique and design inspirationReview samples on models to secure good fits.Putting together range for product review meetingsManaging and facilitating the sampling team for smooth flow of design process.Editing and restyling the production Samples according to the challenges being faced by the production term.About IshqMEA recently launched brand, IshqME is designed for the contemporary woman with international sensibilities and eclectic tastes.
