Position

The position is responsible for the Quality function of the foundry and drives the overall focus on Quality systems and processes and inculcating a TPM culture in the company. The position acts as an evangelist for quality across all functions and focuses on continuous quality achievement and improvement initiatives across the organisation, identifies quality risks and evaluates & minimizes their potential impact on the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop standardized production, quality, and customer-service standards
  • Management of Quality system across the unit, Quality Certifications
  • Identify potential risks before they become a problem, focusing on root cause analysis and preventive action
  • Through knowledge of Quality tools
  • Handling quality issues with the customer
  • Perform internal and external quality audits and compile detailed reports of findings
  • Build a strong team through coaching, mentoring, specific training and performance evaluations
  • Quality rejections and managing cost of poor quality
  • Continuous improvement of quality systems / management of supplier quality assurance activities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Metallurgy Engineering
  • 12 to 15 years' relevant work experience in Quality in a foundry
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
  • Good communication and presentation skills both oral and written
  • Handling and managing cross functional team
