Azure Data Architect/Data Modeler

Job Description

Seeking a talented data modeler to assist with the design and implementation of DWH, DL using Azure .

As a data modeler, you will be working closely with Source SME, Business analyst, ETL developer to implement data modeling solutions to streamline and support enterprise information management.

To ensure success as a data modeler, you should have in-depth knowledge of data warehousing in Banking domain/Health/Utilities domain, Banking/Utilities domain experience is preference. Ultimately, a top-notch data modeler should be able to design models that reduce data redundancy, streamline data movements, and improve enterprise information management.

Data modelers should have fair exp working on Microsoft Azure resources like ADF, Data bricks, key vault, Data flow etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing and translating business needs into long-term solution data models.
  • Working with SMEs to get mapping document done which can be used by developer for ETL build.
  • Evaluating/Analysis of existing data systems.
  • Working with the development team to create conceptual data models/physical data flows.
  • Developing best practices for data coding to ensure consistency within the system.
  • Reviewing modifications of existing systems for cross-compatibility.
  • Implementing data strategies and developing physical data models.
  • Updating and optimizing local and metadata models.
  • Evaluating implemented data systems for variances, discrepancies, and efficiency.
  • Able to have DQ, completeness of data etc related health check.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a similar field.
  • 10 plus years of hands-on experience with physical and relational data modeling.
  • 3+ years of experience on working with Microsoft azure services
  • Worked on ETL tool and databases
  • Sound SQL knowledge
  • Should have knowledge of Banking/Utilites product from data modeler perspective.
  • Should have worked on DWH environment.
  • Expert knowledge of metadata management and related tools.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with team management.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills.
