Job Description.

A Postgraduate degree (humanities/STMS). Perform quality audit of edited STMS and/or humanities books/journal articles per client requirements; handle light, standard, and heavy copyediting; review books/material edited by freelancers and in-house editors, validate the edits, provide constructive feedback, and take accountability for the schedule and quality of projects assigned; coordinate with other members of the team as required.

Desired Skills

1) Hands-on experience in copyediting STMS and/or humanities books/journal articles and adequate knowledge of style guides such the Chicago Manual of Style, APA, and the Oxford Style Manual

2) Hands-on experience in reviewing copyedited files from in-house and freelance editors. Ability to share feedback and guide other editors.

3) Excellent English communication/writing/copyediting skills and a passion for reading, writing, and editing

4) Ability to work as a team player and as an individual contributor as necessary

5) Ability to adapt to publisher-specific guidelines

6) Problem-solving skills
