Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to lead our Catalog Sales division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of our catalog sales operations, developing strategic plans to boost sales, and managing a high-performing sales team.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to drive growth and revenue for the catalog sales division of reference standards.- Sales Team Management: Lead, mentor and inspire a team of sales professionals to achieve targets and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.- Catalog Management: Collaborate with product and marketing teams to ensure that the product catalog is comprehensive, up-to-date, and aligned with market demand.- Customer Relationship Management: Establish strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and partners to expand market share and enhance brand visibility.- Sales Operations and Planning: Oversee sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes. Monitor performance metrics and ensure alignment with business goals.- Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analyze competitive landscapes to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Set KPIs for the catalog sales team and provide regular performance reports to senior management.- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including marketing, supply chain, and product development, to align strategies and ensure the efficient execution of sales plans.
Requirements
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. Chemistry background is preferred.- Experience: Minimum (5~8 years) of experience in sales management, preferably in catalog or e-commerce sales, with a proven track record of driving growth.- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities with experience in motivating and developing high-performance sales teams.- Sales Acumen: Exceptional understanding of sales principles and the ability to develop strategies to maximize revenue.- Communication and Negotiation Skills: Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data, market trends, and business metrics.- Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM software, sales analytics tools, and e-commerce platforms is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Reference Standards catalog sales or distribution.- Strong network and relationships within relevant industries.- Proven track record of achieving sales targets in a dynamic and competitive environment.
