Hiring DB2 DBA for our premium project at Chennai, Guindy.

Database Management L2 Support (DB2)Job Summary:

The Database Management L2 Support role provides advanced troubleshooting, configuration, and maintenance for DB2 databases.This role involves handling escalated issues, ensuring database performance, and supporting critical incidents.Key Responsibilities:· Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues, such as performance bottlenecks, query optimization, and connectivity problems.· Perform database administration tasks, including backup and restore management, replication, patching, and security updates.· Configure and maintain user roles, permissions, and database security settings.· Monitor and analyze database performance metrics to identify and resolve performance issues, escalating to L3 as needed.· Document procedures, solutions, and best practices, contributing to a knowledge base for the team.· Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to ensure database stability, scalability, and high availability.· Assist with disaster recovery planning and execution, as well as with database migration activities.Skills & Qualifications:· Strong knowledge of DB2 database administration and troubleshooting.· Experience with database performance monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds).· Proficiency in writing and optimizing DB2 queries, as well as configuring and troubleshooting database backups.· Working knowledge of scripting for database automation tasks.· Strong English communication skills for documentation and cross-team collaboration.· Certifications such as IBM Certified Database Administrator (DB2) are preferred.Required Experience:

3-5 Years of Experience in Database administration
