Job Title: Special EducatorJob Location: FaridabadJob Summary:The Special Educator is responsible for providing individualized support to students with a range of disabilities to help them achieve their academic, social, and emotional potential. This role involves creating and implementing personalized educational plans, providing one-on-one or group instruction, and collaborating with other staff members to support the overall well-being and development of students.Key Responsibilities:Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Development:- Develop, implement, and review Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities, ensuring that goals and accommodations are met.- Modify and adapt lessons, activities, and assessments to meet the diverse needs of students.Instructional Support:- Provide direct instruction in one-on-one, small group, or whole-class settings.- Adapt classroom materials, instructional methods, and teaching strategies to support students with various learning needs.Behavior Management:- Implement behavioral interventions and strategies to support positive behavior and academic engagement.- Work with students to develop social and emotional skills, encouraging self-regulation and positive interactions.Collaboration with Staff:- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and administrators to create an inclusive learning environment.- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and discussions about student progress.Assessment and Progress Monitoring:- Regularly assess student progress, adjust teaching methods accordingly, and provide feedback to students and parents.- Maintain accurate records of student progress, behavior, and other relevant data.Support for Families:- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child’s progress, needs, and strategies for supporting learning at home.- Provide resources and guidance to families to support their child’s development.Classroom and Materials Management:- Maintain an organized and supportive classroom environment.- Ensure that all materials and resources are accessible to students with disabilities.Professional Development:- Stay updated with best practices in special education, new teaching strategies, and assistive technologies.- Participate in training, workshops, and seminars to enhance skills and knowledge.Qualifications:- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education or a related field (required).- Certification: Certification in Special Education (depending on location or institution).- Experience: Previous experience working with children with disabilities is preferred.
