What you’ll be doing: As the Financial Services Partnership Specialist, you’ll join the Commercial team and play a key role in growing and strengthening Velocity’s partnerships. Reporting to the Customer Success Manager (Financial Services), you’ll help ensure both Velocity and our partners deliver on shared commercial goals while enhancing value for our members. In addition, you will co-manage a portfolio of financial services partners, shape differentiated partnership strategies, and identify new opportunities that elevate the Velocity program. You’ll collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver engaging campaigns, strong commercial outcomes, and exceptional partner experiences. In this role you will: Contribute to and execute Velocity’s Financial Services partnership strategy. Manage commercial agreements, ensuring contractual commitments are met and value is delivered. Build and maintain strong partner relationships, demonstrating ongoing value and insights. Collaborate with campaign and delivery teams to roll out compelling member promotions aligned to partner and Velocity objectives. Track performance against budget, manage billing and reconciliation processes, and report regularly on partner results. Identify new growth and optimisation opportunities across your partner portfolio. Develop and execute partnership engagement strategies, including a structured calendar of key touchpoints and events. You’ll be great in this role if you: 7+ years’ commercial experience across credit cards, payments, fintech, consulting, or loyalty. Proven experience managing third-party partnerships, with a track record of building strong, trusted relationships. Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to analyse opportunities, assess business context, and make sound commercial recommendations. Strategic thinking capability, able to develop partnership strategies that create value for both partners and Velocity. Experience with planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, including building business cases and financial models. Demonstrated analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel and the ability to turn data into meaningful insights. Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including the ability to influence senior leaders and external partners. Confidence presenting and pitching to a wide range of audiences, supported by strong PowerPoint skills to visualise strategy and insights. Experience developing and executing partner or marketing initiatives, ideally within financial services or loyalty (desirable). Working knowledge of regulations relevant to the financial services industry (desirable).
