Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Purchasing Manager located in Goregaon (w), Mumbai at Pupscribe HQ. The Senior Purchasing Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily purchasing activities, managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, import & clearance and ensuring timely product deliveries. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Roles & Responsibilities:

-

Ensure optimum inventory levels are always maintained for 2000+ SKUs.-

Identification of the various trends & graphical factors that impact your purchasing decision.-

Implementing, measuring & improving purchase related strategies.-

Liquidation planning for dead / slow moving inventory alongside other team leaders.-

Coordinate, arrange / prepare all documents required for shipping & import clearance.-

Track category price trends & new product launches.-

Ensuring all licenses & permits are up to date.-

Track & report key metrics to management.-

Keeping up with the latest trends, policy changes & other opportunities.-

Develop negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms.-

Identify and partner with reliable vendors, suppliers, CHAs and logistics service providers.-

Raise timely purchase orders & inward inventory accurately.-

Validate system inventory with actual stock in hand from time to time.-

General manufacturer / supplier communication including annual supplier performance presentations-

Constantly striving to improve our terms with current suppliers / vendors.

Technical Competence:-

Advanced Microsoft Excel-

Microsoft word-

Microsoft power point-

Experienced with Inventory forecasting models-

Brownie points; Zoho books & inventory, Power bi

Experience & Skill Set:Superb communication in both English & Hindi, verbal & written.Prior experience with importing from China.Good negotiation skills.Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skillsProblem solver with a strong analytical mindsetOutstanding organisational and time management skillsExcellent customer service skillsBrownie points for being a pet parent or having prior experience in the pet industry.
