Job Description

The Programme Associate will be placed in low-income schools in Chennai/Coimbatore to ensure underperforming students are coached and exam-ready. The Programme Associate will lead and oversee the program's execution in assigned schools, ensuring all activities align with program objectives. They will also be responsible for establishing and maintaining good rapport with the teachers, community, and school management to ensure the effective implementation of Bhumi’s Schools Transformation Programme in the assigned schools.

Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Conduct and analyse school feasibility surveys to finalise schools for program initiation
  • Manage trainer recruitment and onboarding processes and support effective classroom delivery through observations and feedback
  • Support the Learning and Development of trainers through periodic training sessions
  • Strengthen and maintain relationships with stakeholders including parents and teachers
  • Periodic reporting to management detailing the progress, challenges, and outcomes of the program

Preferred Education Qualification / Experience:

  • Post Graduation / MSW Graduation / B.Ed., preferred 
  • Preferably 1-2 experience in working with the schools / NGO / Fieldwork with at least two years in managing a team

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Good understanding of the pedagogical aspects involved in teaching children.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and supervision Skills
  • Good English speaking & writing skills
  • Good orientation of MS Office
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving
  • Emotional maturity to build relationships, empathize with the perspectives/needs of team members, and develop others

Other Information :

  • Reporting to: Programme Manager - Ignite Communities
  • Scope: Full-time
  • Remuneration: 2.52 L - 3.0 L p.a. CTC, based on experience
  • Expected Joining Date: Immediate
  • Location: Chennai/Coimbatore. Should be willing to travel to other cities 
  • Minimum commitment: Two years

 


Requirements
Skills Required: ● Networking – find out & establish contact with local Communities, Colleges, NGOs & other Partnerships. ● Able to do house visits and good reachability in the community. ● Written and oral communication in Tamil and English. Hindi will be an added advantage.. ● Ability to engage with daily wagers and college dropouts & slum youths. ● Basic Idea of Qualitative and Quantitative research methodologies. ● Flexibility & Positive thoughts – keen to learn new things. Education Qualification / Experience: MSW / MBA from a recognized university with 1-3 years of relevant experience Other Information: Designation: Associate, Skill-Ed, Student Mobilizer.
