We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Administrator with over 5 years of experience to manage and optimize our Snowflake data platform.

This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Database Administration :
- Manage and maintain the Snowflake data warehouse environment.
- Monitor and optimize database performance and storage.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as backups, restores, and security configurations.
User and Security Management :
- Manage user accounts and roles, ensuring proper security and access controls.
- Implement and enforce data governance policies.
- Monitor and audit user activities to ensure compliance with organizational policies.
Performance Tuning :
- Optimize query performance and storage usage.
- Analyze and resolve performance issues and bottlenecks.
- Implement best practices for Snowflake data warehouse design and development.
Data Integration and ETL :
- Work with data engineering teams to design and implement ETL processes.
- Ensure efficient data movement and transformation between various data sources and Snowflake.
- Maintain data quality and integrity throughout the data lifecycle.
Collaboration and Support :
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data scientists, and business analysts.
- Provide support and troubleshooting for Snowflake-related issues.
- Assist in the development of documentation and training materials for end-users.
Automation and Scripting :
- Develop and maintain scripts for automation of administrative tasks.
- Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) practices for managing Snowflake environments.
Required Experience and Skills :
Education :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience :
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in database administration with at least 2 years focused on Snowflake.
- Proven experience with cloud data warehousing platforms, preferably Snowflake.
- Strong background in SQL and database performance tuning.
Technical Skills :
- Proficiency in Snowflake features and functionalities, including SnowSQL, Snowpipe, and Time Travel.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Strong knowledge of ETL tools and processes.
- Familiarity with data modeling concepts and best practices.
- Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
Soft Skills :
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Preferred Qualifications :
Certifications :
- Snowflake SnowPro Certification.

Additional Experience :
- Experience with data integration tools such as Informatica, Talend, or Matillion.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience in a DevOps environment.
