Job Title :: Lead Developer (Java + Scala/Spark)

Location :: India RemoteKey Required Skills :: Spark + Java (Java is a must) and knowledge of Scala

Job Description:1. Create Scala/Spark jobs for data transformation and aggregation2. Produce unit tests for Spark transformations and helper methods3. Write Scala doc-style documentation with all code4. Design data processing pipelines

Candidate Profile:1. Scala (with a focus on the functional programming paradigm)2. Scala test, JUnit, Mockito,3. Apache Spark 2.x{​{ Apache Spark RDD API }}{​{ Apache Spark SQL DataFrame API}}{​{ Apache Spark MLlib API}}{​{ Apache Spark GraphX API }}{​{ Apache Spark Streaming API }}4. Spark query tuning and performance optimization5. SQL database integration {​{ Microsoft, Oracle, Postgres, and/or MySQL }}6. Experience working with {​{ HDFS, S3, Cassandra, and/or DynamoDB }}7. Deep understanding of distributed systems (e.g. CAP theorem, partitioning, replication, consistency, and consensus)8. Java knowledge (Core Java, Advanced Java, Spring Boot, and Spring) 9. experience in Java development10. Knowledge of design and object-oriented programming (OOP)11.
