Senior Software Development Engineer (SDE) - Cloud & IoT Solutions

Location: Bangalore/Hybrid (India)

Experience: 14+ Years (10+ Years in Cloud Engineering, 3+ Years in Java & AWS)

Role Overview:

This position is responsible for designing and developing complex cloud-based solutions, particularly leveraging AWS, IoT, Kubernetes, and Java-based microservices. The individual will act as a technical leader, driving the architecture, scalability, and performance of products in alignment with the roadmap.

Technical Skills Required:

- AWS: EC2, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, CloudWatch, IoT Core, Greengrass, EKS.- IoT: Knowledge of AWS IoT technologies.- Kubernetes/Docker: Experience in containerizing applications.- Java & Spring Boot: For backend services and microservices.- Security: Understanding of IAM, VPC, network security.- Architecture Design: Ability to design scalable and secure cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Cloud Architecture & Implementation:

- Design and deploy cloud-based solutions using AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS).- Implement IoT solutions with AWS IoT Core and Greengrass.- Manage Kubernetes-based applications using Docker.- Develop backend services and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.

1. System Optimization & Troubleshooting:

- Monitor and optimize cloud systems for performance, scalability, and security.- Troubleshoot complex issues related to cloud infrastructure and applications.

1. Collaboration & Documentation:

- Collaborate with development, DevOps, and security teams.- Create documentation (architecture diagrams, deployment scripts, operational procedures).

1. Security & Compliance:

- Implement cloud security best practices (IAM, VPC, network security).- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

1. Continuous Improvement:

- Stay updated on the latest AWS, IoT, Kubernetes, and Java technologies.- Suggest system and process improvements.

1. Mentorship & Guidance:

- Mentor junior team members, provide technical direction, and support.- Conduct code reviews, offer constructive feedback, and promote best practices.

Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field.- Experience:- 14+ years in cloud engineering.- Proven experience with AWS services (EKS, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, CloudWatch).- 10+ years of experience in Java and Spring Boot for backend and microservices development.

Business Acumen:

- Ability to navigate organizational structures and anticipate obstacles.- Engage customers and articulate business value.- Present functional information using storytelling concepts.

Leadership Skills:

- Lead cross-functional teams, including third-party and customer teams.- Change management experience.- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to influence and collaborate.
