Role details: Title / Designation: Director – SQA (Data) Location: Chennai, India Work Mode: Hybrid Role & responsibilities: Lead the Software Quality Assurance team, ensuring accountability for delivery quality, customer satisfaction, and overall test strategy. Provide strategic direction across program releases, managing resources, costs, risks, and scope effectively. Deliver executive dashboards and metrics to monitor and communicate quality performance. Oversee SQA processes, ensuring traceability of test plans and scripts and adherence to established standards and methodologies. Drive automation and innovation within the QA program, including leveraging AI-driven testing tools. Collaborate with AI/ML teams to validate model outputs, ensure data quality, and develop testing strategies for AI-enabled features, including bias detection and performance benchmarking. Ensure AI systems comply with ethical standards, regulatory requirements, and internal governance policies. Identify and mitigate risks in product releases, ensuring successful delivery with a focus on quality and timeliness. Lead transformation initiatives and change management efforts, aligning QA strategy with organizational objectives. Candidate requirements: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). 18+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance with recent 5+ years in next generation technology, including Gen AI. Experience with AI/ML systems, data-centric testing, and compliance frameworks. Deep expertise in SQA methodologies, automation frameworks, and cloud-based testing Strong understanding of AI compliance standards, data pipelines, and model validation.
