We are looking for a proactive individual with experience in the field of textile chemicals to join our organization as Deputy General Manager - Business Development. They should possess more than 10 years’ experience in selling or producing textile chemicals. They should have experience in visiting foreign countries to meet suppliers of raw materials and developing new products for existing and new markets. 


Responsibilities

  • To visit textile mills and garment washing plants in Sri Lanka and abroad to increase business with existing and new customers
  • Search for suitable trading companies in new foreign markets and appoint agents/distributors in such markets
  • Work closely with R&D Department of the company for necessary product developments
  • To communicate with global raw material suppliers to obtain latest chemicals to enhance the performance of textile auxiliary chemicals produced by the company
  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers


Requirements

  • B.Sc degree with Chemistry as a subject or degree in Textile Engineering
  • Experience in formulating textile auxiliary chemicals
  • Past experience in attending international exhibitions to understand the new trends and developments in the apparel sector
  • Able to work independently with leading chemical manufacturers in the world to acquire knowledge on latest developments to produce cost effective textile auxiliaries for our target markets
  • Working experience in Latin American countries will be an advantage
