1. Logistics Management:- Oversee the daily operations of
import and export logistics .-
Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs brokers.- Ensure timely and cost-effective transportation of steel products.
2. Documentation and Compliance:- Prepare and manage all necessary
documentation for international shipments, including bills of lading, invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin .- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and customs requirements.- Stay updated on changes in trade policies and regulations.
3. Vendor Management:-
Manage relationships with logistics service providers .-
Negotiate contracts and rates with carriers and forwarders.- Monitor and evaluate vendor performance.
4. Inventory and Warehouse Management:- Coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure proper storage and handling of goods.- Monitor inventory levels and plan for adequate stock to meet export and import demands.
5. Coordination and Communication:- Work closely with production, sales, and finance teams to align logistics operations with business objectives.- Communicate with international customers and suppliers to ensure smooth logistics operations.
6. Problem Solving:- Address and resolve any issues related to shipping delays, customs clearance, and transportation.- Implement corrective actions and process improvements to enhance efficiency.
7. Reporting and Analysis:- Maintain records of all export and import transactions.- Analyze logistics data to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings.- Prepare regular reports for senior management on logistics performance.
Note: He must have exposure in working with TMS and SAP Hana ERP tolls and advance excel skills are essential.
